Are you writing the RCMP Police Aptitude Test (RPAT)? This is the recruitment exam used by the RCMP as one of the intial stages of its selection process for new hires.
The electronic version of the RPAT is a 50 question test, broken down into five 10 question sections. The main areas covered on the RPAT are English composition and comprehension, observation, logic, judgment and computation.
If you are just coming out of high school, and you got pretty good marks, you should be in a good position to write the HOAE. If you have been out of school for a while, then you will need to review, refresh and practice.
